Uh, you’re got a lot of coverings missing of the roof． 　　W：Yes．The chimney was damaged as well． 　　M：Oh, yes．Some of the bricks have blown off．Anything else? 　　W：Um, you can see the bedroom window on the left was destroyed．I’ve just put some boards over it． 　　M：OK．Let's walk round to the back． 　　V：Here we are． 　　4：Goodness, that tree's fallen down right onto the fence! 　　W：Yes．It s a real pity．That was a lovely tree．The shed roof was damaged too, l’ m afraid． 　　VI：I see．I’ve got all that．I'l1 write up my report and we'll let you have a check as soon as possible． 　　Text 10 　　W：Welcome to Med Talk, a weekly broadcast examining important medical topics．My name is Doctor Virginia James and 1' m a surgeon in the city's hospital．I' m going to talk with you today about a ground breaking discovery, the use of sea coral in the repair of broken bones．In surgery, we often find that to repair a fracture, we need to add bone or some other material to the patient's injured bone．Historically, we have used bone from elsewhere in the patient's body, in particular, the ribs, hips and skull．But these sources seldom produce sufficient quantities of bone．Donors can be another source of bone, but transplanted bone may not be compatible with the patient's body and therefore runs the rise of rejection．The body seems to like coral, however．When we join it to the preexisting bone, live elements of bone, such as blood cells, grow into the holes in the coral, forming a permanent seal．Moreover, the coral is practical to use．For one thing, it's plentiful．In addition, the coral can be stored in the form of blocks and then wriggled into the bone shapes desired for surgery．Thank you for turning in today．Be sure to listen next week when Dr．Bob Franklin joins Mea Talk to discuss the importance of prenatal care．
