Making friends at school can be a little hard—but it doesn't have to be! Try a few of these ways and you'll soon have a group of friends to have fun with!
Be friendly.
Be ready to smile and say "hi". Look up, stand straight, make eye contact(交流)and use friendly body language. Try to avoid(避免)standing straight, make eye contact and use friendly body language. Try to avoid crossing your arms or looking closed off. This will make you look like you want to get to know people.
Sit at a table.
Sit at a table with people sitting down. If you're feeling shy, pick a table that only has one or two people sitting. If you like the people you sit with, ask if you can join them again the next day.
Try out a sports team.
If you like soccer, basketball, softball, baseball or anything, try out for the team! If your school doesn't have a sports team, try looking for one at your local community centre.
Join an after-school club.
Meet friends who hold the same interest as you. Ask a teacher or your parents for a club that holds activities and pick 1 or 2 of them that you're most excited about. Introduce yourself to everyone when you meet for the first time.
